The Montana Osprey Project is planning to visit a Missoula-area nest to check on some young osprey chicks July 12. The University of Montana researchers are inviting the public at tag along and get a view of the young birds as they collect data and band the birds.

The Osprey Project is conducting a long-term study of osprey ecology and heavy metal contamination from mining in the upper Clark Fork River and other streams. If you or your group would like to attend, you need to sign up early by emailing Dalit Guscio at: dalit.guscio@mso.umt.edu

Those who sign up will get more information about where the event will take place.
