After giving us "Po-Dunk" earlier in the year, Kid Rock is doubling down on his love of a certain way of life with the new song "Tennessee Mountain Top." The song doesn't quite start off that way though, but the payoff lets you know a little bit about Rock's life perusing the Hollywood dream before finding where his heart truly lies.

Starting off with an acoustic guitar, Rock sings the praises of "palm tress and beautiful hips," name checks Sunset Strip legends Lemmy Kilmister and Johnny Depp, but also admits falling victim to sex and drugs and the temptations of the "scene" while wishing to break free for a simpler way of life.

Eventually, the acoustic guitar gives way to a stomp-clap chorus lamenting his longing for a "Tennessee Mountain Top," "straight shooting neighbors who don't name drop" and "singing karaoke in a double wide." But alas, Rock offers this warning: "Fall in love with an angel, you'll end up in California." Though not the heaviest of his songs, "Tennessee Mountain Top" does have the attitude and honesty that fans have come to expect from Rock. To pick up the song, head here.

The musician has yet to reveal official details on his next album, but has issued "Tennessee Mountain Top" and "Po-Dunk" alongside "The Greatest Show on Earth" in just the last few months. The tracks have coincided with Rock's proposed Senate run, though the musician has yet to officially declare his intentions for office. Rock has discussed his desire to launch a non-profit organization to promote voter registration and recently opened a show with a mock political address.
