The 57th annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast will be held this Saturday at St. Anthony's Parish Hall from 6:30 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Spokesman Bob Direnburg said the event is the service organization's single largest fundraiser for the year.

"The KIwanis Club helps support local kids, Direnburg said. "Youth activities include Kiwanis basketball for middle schoolers, and this is our annual fundraiser for that. It's this Saturday, April 30th from 6:30 to 1 at St. Anthony's parish just off of Orange Street at Tremont and Woodford. The cost is five dollars."

Direnburg said members from all walks of life will be serving breakfast to those who attend.

"It's all for a good cause," he said. "There are over 100 of us and the majority of us will be there all day Saturday helping to serve coffee, flipping pancakes and cooking sausages. It's a great way to start your Saturday morning."

The all-you-can-eat breakfast is just five dollars, and all proceeds go to support Kiwanis Club activities.
