For those of us anxious to not only see Clutch, but also see the kick ass opening acts at the upcoming 13th Blaze Birthday Bash, there is some disappointing news from the band Kyng. Due to an injury of their bassist, they are forced to pull out of the tour with Clutch.

According to Loudwire.com

California rock trio Kyng are known as road warriors but they have been forced to drop off their most recent trek with Clutch due to an injury sustained by their bassist Tony Castaneda.

Castaneda was involved in an unfortunate auto accident and this unexpected situation will also delay Kyng’s plans to record their sophomore follow up to their debut ‘Trampled Sun’ with producer Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, Sound City), and Andrew Alekel in Los Angeles this spring.

Although the injury has affected the band’s touring schedule and recording plans, Kyng will continue the process of working on their forthcoming record with a planned release for this Summer.

Tickets are still available for the 13th Annual Blaze Birthday Bash, and no word has been announced on a possible replacement for Kyng. We will keep you posted.
