Machine Head Bassist Adam Duce Exits Band

In surprise news, Machine Head have parted ways with bassist Adam Duce, according to a statement posted on the band’s official website.
The news of Adam Duce’s departure from Machine Head should come as a shock to headbangers everywhere, as Duce is a founding member of the metal band. Having formed Machine Head with frontman Robb Flynn in 1991, Duce’s exit leaves Flynn as the only remaining original member of the Bay area group.
This official statement was posted on Machine Head’s website:
Machine Head and bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. The split is amicable, and Machine Head would like to wish Adam the best with his current and future endeavors. The band will continue on for the time being as a three-piece and have begun the writing process for their follow-up to 2011′s “Unto The Locust”. A late 2013 release is projected.
Machine Head also broke the news on their official Twitter account, simply writing, “Machine Head and Adam Duce part ways,” before linking to the statement.
Adam Duce nor any member of Machine Head have offered an additional comment on the breakup. Robb Flynn, however, tweeted about working on new material only two hours before the announcement of Duce’s departure was made public.
