There's been a lot going on in Seattle's music scene since the age of grunge came and went. The above Budweiser Made in America documentary short focuses on what's going on in Seattle now, along with what makes it still such a great place to be in a band.

Ben Gibbard, of Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service, talks about why he's proud to be from Seattle. He says that he decided he wanted to live and work there when he was still a kid, riding the ferry from his small hometown nearby. He mentions all of the amazing bands he saw perform in small clubs there, including Mudhoney, Flop and Tree People, during the time that Nirvana and Soundgarden were out taking over the world.

The video also talks to some current Seattle bands, including Tacocat and La Luz. Both groups are on Hardly Art Records, an offshoot of the legendary Sub Pop Records that was created to handle all the bands Sub Pop couldn't take on.
