On Saturday, Mark Wahlberg spoke at an event called the 'Festival of Families' in Philadelphia, which featured the Pope. It also involved comedian Jim Gaffigan, Aretha Franklin, and 14-year-old opera singer Bobby Hill.

After Bobby sang, Wahlberg made a joke about "Ted" that is being met with some mixed reviews.

That right there was truly the voice of an angel. But then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie 'Ted', and I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age. Holy Father, please forgive me. I've always hoped that the good Lord has a sense of humor when it comes and pertains to many of the movies that I've made.

The Pope looked mildly amused. But only mildly. He was probably hoping that Marky Mark was also going to apologize for the abomination that was The Funky Bunch.
