Crimes continue to occur at an alarming rate in Missoula and this week was no different. Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says her office filed 16 new complaints.

“Three interestingly involved violations of orders of protection,” said Pabst. “In one of those cases, the allegations were that the defendant made extremely violent threats toward the protected person in the order. In another, the suspect was allegedly located in the person’s home.”

According to Pabst, her office dealt with a number of violent crimes as well.

“There was a partner family member assault case, there were two non-family related assaults, we had a felony DUI that involved a 40 minute high speed chase, there were a handful of property crimes and then there was a criminal mischief that happened in the detention facility,” Pabst said. “To round things off, we had three methamphetamine cases.”

Pabst says one defendant allegedly tried to flush 15 grams of methamphetamine down the toilet.
