The Missoula County Attorney’s Office was extremely busy this past week with a significant amount of new cases. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says her office received 25 new complaints.

“There were 14 property crimes,” said Pabst. “10 of those were theft cases, four of those were burglary cases and three were related. There were three drug cases and a failure to register as a sexual or violent offender.”

According to Pabst, there were a handful of other crimes as well.

“Three of those involved violent crimes, two strangulation allegations, one sexual abuse of a child allegation,” Pabst said. “There were four endangerment crimes and three of those were felony DUI’s. There was one criminal endangerment. It was driving related and drug related.”

Pabst says in that particular case, an officer was conducting an investigation and noticed some drugs in the vehicle.  The driver allegedly put the car in reverse when the officer was standing nearby and almost hit him.
