54 year-old Joe Kruger appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Friday, and was charged with felony criminal endangerment after discharging a weapon following an argument with a woman over doing the dishes.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Mac Bloom said the incident occurred early Friday morning in the 8,000 block of Pheasant Drive in Missoula County.

"He got into an argument with his wife/partner for her not doing the dishes, and then went outside with his 44 magnum handgun and fired a shot," Bloom said. "She then locked him out. He yelled at her to open the door and then began counting down five, four, three, two, one, and she didn't know what would happen when he got to zero, and told deputies that she was terrified."

According to court documents, Missoula Sheriff's deputies found Kruger standing outside the house with the firearm in his hand, and ordered him to drop the weapon, which he did, and was then arrested.

Substitute Justice of the Peace Darla Koeck  set bail for Kruger at $2,500, due to his lack of any criminal history.
