Missoula Police Looking For Suspected Rapist [AUDIO]

Missoula police are searching for an unidentified man who is suspected for committing a rape early Monday morning in the 100 block of Woodford Avenue.

Detective Sergeant Bob Bouchet with the Missoula police department said a woman reported that she had been raped by a man she did not know, but who had walked with her for a few minutes before the assault occurred.

Bouchet said the woman described the suspect as a white male in his 50′s or 60′s, very foul smelling, not fat, but did have a belly..she said he had a beard and moustache, his face was pock-marked, and that he possibly had a scar on his right cheek.

She said the man was dressed in a green jacket with fur on it, brown pants and was carrying a backpack. She said the man had a deep, gravelly voice.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call Missoula Crimestoppers at 721-44-44, or Detective Jami Merrifield at the Missoula Police Department at 552-6300.
