Missoula Police Officer Fires Warning Shot on Sunday [AUDIO]

A Missoula police officer fired his weapon in a warning shot Sunday afternoon near the downtown area.
9-1-1 received a call at about 3:15 Sunday afternoon that a man was being threatened by another man with a weapon. When police arrived, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.
According to police reports, in the area of the California street footbridge, the man got off his bicycle and made a threatening motion to his side as if reaching for a weapon, and the officer fired a warning shot. The suspect then surrendered without incident, and no one was injured.
The 20 year-old suspect was arrested and charged with a probation violation and felony assault with a weapon. He is in the Missoula county jail, and will make an appearance in justice court on Tuesday.
