Missoula police are looking for a silver colored sedan believed to be involved in a hit and run accident that occurred early Friday morning on the city's North Side.

Sergeant Scott Pastian says the hit and run occurred at about 1 o'clock Friday morning near the intersection of Scott and Phillips streets. He says the suspect vehicle made an illegal pass, and actually struck the bicycle while driving north in the southbound lane.

The male bicyclist said he was struck by a silver passenger car that Pastian says will be recognizable because of damage to the front headlight assembly from the accident. The victim says the suspect vehicle was last seen traveling north over the Scott Street bridge.

Pastian asks anyone with information about the suspect to contact Missoula Crimestoppers at 721-44-44.
