Now that the clocks have been turned back, lots of people will be riding their bikes in the dark.

The Mayor's Bike Light initiative is putting bike light sets in the hands of police officers to help bicyclists be safe while they ride on Missoula's dark streets.

Ben Weiss with the Missoula Bike-Ped office says the lights will be free of charge while they last, however, riding without lights in the city limits is illegal.Weiss says all bikes must be equipped with a white light in front and red reflectors in the rear.

Weiss says all during November, bike shops throughout Missoula will have specially reduced prices on bike lights.
