Missoula Rural Fire crews are wearing pink once again during the month of October to raise both awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

Firefighter Eric Huleatt said on Wednesday that this is the fourth year the department has worn their distinctive pink shirts during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"We're raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research in October," Huleatt said. "Breast Cancer research is so important, and we're always looking for ways to help out, so this is a way for us to show our support every day, and hopefully raise money along the way."

Huleatt said the shirts are for sale at Missoula Rural Fire Station One.

"You can come down here to station one at the corner of South and Reserve and purchase the shirts from us for $20," he said. "We'll also be at different events throughout the month, and you can check our Facebook page to find out where we'll be selling the shirts. The next event will be at Southgate Mall this Saturday for the Pink Duck Rodeo from 5 to 7 p.m."
