Montana Sports Information reports on Thursday, December 12, that University of Montana Grizzly linebacker Jordan Tripp has accepted an invitation to play in the annual East-West Shrine Game on January 18 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

This past season, Tripp was second on the Grizzly defensive squad with 100 tackles and with three interceptions, was tied for the team lead. Trip was a first team All-Big Sky and All-America selection for both the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Tripp, a finalist for the annual Buck Buchanan Award for the top defensive player in the FCS, ended his career with a total of 336 tackles, fourth all time for Montana, and he set an all-time Grizzly record with 10 fumble recoveries.

One moment Grizzly fans will never forget, is when Tripp launched himself in the air to block a field goal against Cal Poly on October 19, that led to a heart-stopping come-from-behind overtime win.

Kickoff for the East-West Shrine game is 2:00 p.m. Mountain time, and will be televised on the NFL Network.
