A group of Badass pre-teens from Billings have become the first Montana team ever to make it to the Little League World Series.

 According to KGVO AM1290 "THE BIG SKY ALL-STARS OF BILLINGS WILL FACE RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA  IN THE OPENING ROUND OF THE 65TH ANNUAL LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES THURSDAY IN WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA. BIG SKY BECAME THE FIRST MONTANA TEAM TO REACH THE L-L-W-S WITH A 7 TO 1 VICTORY OVER BEND, OREGON, ON SATURDAY, IN THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, IN SAN BERNADINO, CALIFORNIA. COACH GENE CARLSON, ALONG WITH HIS TEAM, ARRIVED IN WILLIAMSPORT MONDAY MORNING. CARLSON SAYS EVERYONE IS EXCITED FOR THIS FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE"

The 2011 World Series is the fifth under an eight-year television contract with ESPN/ABC. All games of the World Series will be televised live, in high definition, on the ESPN family of networks or ABC. ABC will air the World Series championship game, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m., and the U.S. and International Championship games the previous day beginning with the International contest at 1 p.m. and the U.S. game to follow. For the first time, 17 World Series games will air on ESPN 3D this year.
