Like many local drivers, the Mountain Line bus service is being forced to take alternate routes due to storm debris and downed power lines.

As of 3 p.m. on today (August 11), current detours include:

Route 3 is detoured 1 block on Dickens, using Turner to Cooley, then back to Dickens without missing any stops.

Route 5 is unable to travel on Van Buren, which is closed at Cherry Street. So Route 5 is using Madison to Greenough to Lolo Street to Van Buren, both inbound & outbound. It is missing stops from Burger King on Broadway to Lolo Street on Van Buren.

Route 9  is unable to use 7th street from Hiberta to Clements, so it is using 3rd street from Reserve to Clement and missing stops on Hiberta & 7th. The stops on Hiberta have been posted with the info, but not on 7th since the Sheriffs have it blocked off due to power lines.

In addition, the Western Montana Fair officially opens this evening, with the carnival starting on Wednesday (August 12) at noon. Mountain Line routes 1, 6 & 7 will provide free and frequent service to the fairgrounds for the duration of the fair. Take advantage of a free ride and save your parking money for the carnival.

Or maybe this is a great alternative if, say, your car is under a tree.
