We make no secret of our unabashed love for AMC's zombie-killing thriller 'The Walking Dead.'  From the books on which it takes its base, to the series marathon leading up to season 3's October 14 premiere, we'd call ourselves zombie lovers if it didn't sound so dangerously close to necrophilia.  So as the new season approaches, it's about time for a bad-ass new trailer, don't you think?  We certainly do!  But what does the new footage reveal that has us worried?

Certainly 'The Walking Dead' season 2 finale "Beside the Dying Fire" left Andrea (Laurie Holden) in some dire straits as she fled a group of walkers in the woods, only to be saved by the  intervention of the mysterious sword-swining Michonne (Danai Gurira), but she at least survived.  So what's going on in the new trailer exclusive from TVGuide, that has Andrea appearing deathly ill as Michonne tends to her?  Might Andrea be due for a reunion with dearly-departed Dale when season 3 resumes?

Elsewhere, the new trailer shows off more footage of Rick Grimes and the other survivors clearing out the infamous prison, from which they'll come into conflict with the town of Woodbury and its villainous Governor (David Morrissey).  The spot gives several new looks at the iconic villain as well, whose charming demeanor belies an underlying sinister nature.

Check out the bloody new trailer below, and tell us what you want to see when 'The Walking Dead' season 3 premieres with "Seed" on Sunday, October 14!
