If you caught last night's (Nov. 19) episode of 'American Horror Story: Freak Show,' you probably caught another musical easter egg. Evan Peters, who plays the character of 'Lobster Boy' Jimmy Darling, sang a haunting version of Nirvana's 'Come as You Are' while backed by a band of fellow freaks.

Though the fourth season of 'American Horror Story' is set in 1952, the show has bent time to feature modern music. So far, Jessica Lange has performed David Bowie's 'Life on Mars?' and Lana Del Rey's 'Gods and Monsters,' while Sarah Paulson sang a silky-smooth version of 'Criminal' by Fiona Apple.

The bizarre use of music written decades after the 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' setting delivers an added creepiness to the series, with Nirvana's 'Come as You Are' acting as the latest example.

In the first season of 'American Horror Story,' Evan Peters played the ghost of a deceased school shooter who bared a striking resemblance to Kurt Cobain, of which Peters' character was a huge fan. In Peters' 'AHS' debut, he even wore the exact outfit Cobain sported in Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' video. The actor's connection to Cobain was brought back again with the 'Come as You Are' cover, which was pretty damn good.
