North Side Park Structure to be Removed

Missoula's North Side will soon see a change to the North Side Park.

One of my long time North Sider buddies called the other day and explained that the picnic structure and tables at the park were going to be removed due to safety reasons. Fair enough. However, we were incredibly disappointed to learn that there are no plans to replace the structure.

For those of us who cherish hundreds of wonderful memories of graduation parties, birthday kegs, receptions and celebrations at the North Side Park, this is very sad news.

A group of life long North Siders are hoping to bring their concern to the attention of Missoula Parks and Rec, and let them know that we do, in fact, still use the covered structure and hope they will reconsider replacing it.
