Now here's a pairing we can get behind! Metal titans Opeth and Gojira will team up for a brief U.S. tour this coming May!

The tour will hit nine cities, starting in Nashville, Tenn. on May 4 at the War Memorial Auditorium and then hitting Concord, N.C., Philadelphia, Sayreville, N.J., Chicago, Morrison, Colo., Kansas City, and Indianapolis before wrapping in Somerset, Wis. at Northern Invasion on May 14.

Opeth have enjoyed a banner year with their Sorceress album, which was released back in September. The disc has generated such standout tracks as "Will O the Wisp," "The Wilde Flowers" and the title track.

Meanwhile, Gojira just earned a pair of GRAMMY nominations for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. The band's Magma disc was released in June, featuring the songs "Stranded" and the GRAMMY-nominated "Silvera."
