Otep Shamaya is digging a little deeper into her self-titled band's upcoming record. You can hear the new song "In Cold Blood" trudging along in the player provided above.

The track is a hypnotic offering, with the heaviness offset by some haunting piano notes that stand out throughout the song. "In Cold Blood" follows on the heels of the track "Lords of War" that Otep recently debuted here at Loudwire. Both songs can be heard on the Generation Doom album, which is set to drop on April 15. You can pre-order the disc here.

In other Otep news, the band and their label Napalm Records will release an exclusive limited edition picture disc version of Generation Doom for Record Store Day. Only 2,000 copies will be available globally.

"This year on Record Store Day we celebrate with a limited edition PICTURE DISC! These are so rare and so wonderful. This is one of the most exciting moments of my entire life and I appreciate all of our fans and supporters for sharing this journey with me. Generation Doom is one of my proudest achievements," says the singer.

Look for Otep on the road this spring, heading up the "Generation Doom" tour. They'll be joined by Lacey Sturm, September Mourning, Through Fire and Doll Skin during the run. Dates launch April 8 in Las Vegas, with shows booked through May 28 in Los Angeles. See their full itinerary here.
