We've said it a hundred times, but the earlier you expose your young ones to heavy metal, the more awesome they'll become in their formative years. It's science. Obviously, the fine people at Nick Jr. have been paying attention, because they've recruited the 'Prince of Darkness' Ozzy Osbourne to play the character of Sid Fishy on the channel's popular kid's show 'Bubble Guppies.'

The iconic Black Sabbath singer has taken part in a million different projects across the spectrum of entertainment, but this may be the first targeted directly at preschoolers. Ozzy won't be biting the heads of various animals in 'Bubble Guppies,' but the metal legend will definitely be causing trouble.

Sid Fishy, likely named after Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious, is described as a "rock and roll fish who loves being rotten." Sid Fishy sports a red mohawk, an eyebrow and fin piercing, a gold tooth and a slime spray gun to blast at unsuspecting guppies.

"I’ve always smelled a bit fishy," Osbourne tells Rolling Stone. "The green liquid is Sid Fishy's 'stink sauce' made up of different smells such as stinky socks and rotten eggs. He wants to use the stink sauce to cover Big Bubble City and all its citizens to make them stinky."

The Sabbath singer also spoke about why he chose to take on the role. "The whole reason I did the show was for Pearl (Ozzy's two-year-old granddaughter). She has Nick Jr. on 24/7. I can’t wait to see her reaction when she hears my voice come from Sid Fishy’s mouth."

No date has been revealed for Ozzy's debut as Sid Fishy, but look out for Ozzy on 'Bubble Guppies' soon.
