As if paragliding isn't dangerous enough, this guy managed to find himself in an even crazier predicament recently while flying over a beach in South Florida.

Damien Leroy, an extreme sports enthusiast, was paragliding when he managed to get his lines tangled up after his engine started to malfunction. When he was about 150 feet off the ground, Leroy ejected, landing in what he was hoping were big, soft bushes.

Unfortunately, even a soft bush isn't that soft after a 150-foot fall, and Leroy suffered a broken back, femur, pelvis, three broken ribs, and a punctured lung.

Check out the scary video, and maybe you can tell us why he had to eject in the first place. Couldn't he have just ridden it out and (hopefully) landed with a little less injury?
