William Moody, better known to WWE fans as Paul Bearer, passed away yesterday at the age of 58.

Moody made his debut in the WWF in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker. He would work as the Undertaker's manager, and sometimes enemy, for the next 20 years. He also managed The Undertaker's brother Kane and Mankind.

Moody made his wrestling debut in 1979 under the ring name Percival "Percy" Pringle, III in southeastern independent promotions. After a successful run in Florida Championship Wrestling and World Class Championship Wrestling, Moody took time away from wrestling to be with his young son.

In his time away from the ring, Moody obtained a degree in mortuary science and earned certification as a funeral director and embalmer. His work in the funeral services was believed to be the inspiration for his eventual Paul Bearer gimmick.

Moody leaves behind two sons -- Michael and Daniel. Daniel wrestles on the independent circuit as DJ Pringle.
