The very man to whom Pearl Jam entrusted their financial affairs is now being accused of stealing staggering amounts of money from the band. Rickey Charles Goodrich, the former CFO of Pearl Jam’s management company, was recently charged for having stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from the band over the last several years, according to the Associated Press.

Goodrich allegedly wielded his position at Pearl Jam’s management company, Curtis Inc., in order to steal a total of $380,000 between 2006 and 2010. It is believed that the 54-year-old ex-CFO used the company’s money for personal reasons such as hotel stays, expensive dinners and family vacations — as well as to pay off his debts.

The former CFO is being faced with 33 charges of theft and has yet to comment on the accusations. Goodrich is scheduled to appear before Seattle’s King County Super Court on June 28 to deliver his initial plea.

Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis (who hired Goodrich years ago) remarked in a recent statement that he is “deeply saddened by this situation” and is “looking forward to a resolution.”

Meanwhile, the band is busy working on their tenth studio album and getting ready to launch their upcoming summer tour through Europe.
