In a new interview, Pantera legend Philip Anselmo has gone on record once again about his onetime bandmate Vinnie Paul. While Anselmo has been a proponent for a live Pantera reunion in recent years, the vocalist now says he doesn't care whether he ever plays a show with the drummer again. However, Anselmo does praise Vinnie Paul, saying he would "love to be in the studio with him."

Although a true Pantera reunion is impossible due to the tragic passing of guitarist Dimebag Darrell, fans still love to daydream about Philip Anselmo and Vinnie Paul burying the hatchet and maybe even working together again. During an episode of the podcast One on One With Mitch Lafon (listen below), Anselmo addresses the future possibilities concerning Vinnie Paul.

"I would jam with Rex [Brown, bass] any time he felt like it. I adore Rex," Anselmo begins. "Do I want to play with Vinnie Paul again? Honestly, I could give a f---. However, I will say this: If we went into it and I knew that Vince had an open mind -- listen to the drum beat and his feet on a tune like "Becoming." If I got that Vinnie Paul - s--t I would love to be in the studio with him."

Anselmo adds, "To this day, Vinnie Paul is still the most talented, tightest, most awesome drummer that I've ever f---ing played with."

Anselmo also discusses finding his love for Slayer, the return of Superjoint Ritual (now just called Superjoint) and his own health. "I'm the strongest I've been in a long time," Anselmo proclaims. "I'm 6'1" and weigh 225lbs. I feel thick. I feel strong, but every day is a challenge when it comes to chronic pain."

Superjoint embark on a highly anticipated U.S. tour beginning tonight (July 10) in Oklahoma City. That string of dates will be followed by a handful of shows from Down. To check out all the details, click here.
