Tom Ray, vice president of Northwest resources and manufacturing says:

Plum Creek appreciates the public’s continued cooperation in helping to protect it's timberlands from the risk of wildfires. The current fire risk situation is extreme and suppression resources are stretched to the maximum.

Under normal conditions, Plum Creek encourages members of the public to use it's timberlands as outlined in it's Plum Creek Open Lands Policy and under the Montana Fish & Wildlife’s Block Management Program.
