Missoula police are seeking information about a hit and run accident that occurred at Brooks and Paxson on Wednesday, September 30 at about 9:00 a.m.

Public Information Officer Travis Welsh said the only description of the suspect is that she is an elderly woman.

"An 18 year-old female on a skateboard was crossing Brooks Street at the intersection of Paxson," Welsh said. "A vehicle traveling south on Paxson made a left turn onto Brooks and struck the pedestrian. knocking her down. She was able to get up and make it to the other side of the street, but the vehicle continued with its turn and traveled away from the scene north on Brooks. The woman did not stop, did not identify herself and did not try to render aid to the pedestrian."

"There's no description of her, other than she is an elderly female driving a white Subaru Outback with an unknown license plate," he said. "We are asking if anyone was a witness to this incident, please contact the traffic investigator, Stan Fullerton at 552-6300."

The female pedestrian was not seriously injured, and declined medical treatment.
