The IFC series 'Portlandia' has had its fair share of rockers appear on the series over the years, and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme is the latest to make a cameo on the show.

In a skit called 'Disappointing Gays,' Homme appears as Carrie Brownstein's gay brother who comes for a visit. But Homme, and his boyfriend, played by Nick Swardson, don't exactly fit the profile that Brownstein and Fred Armisen had expected as he and Swardson are slobby, rambunctious guests who prefer Jager bombs over Pinot Noir.

But as Brownstein and Armisen share their mutual disappointment, Homme overhears the conversation leading to some smile-inducing results. You can watch the sketch in the video above.

Homme is no stranger to displaying his bizarre sense of humor. He previous appeared as the world's most awkward pitchman while hawking a Scissor Sisters album and while promoting the band's own '… Like Clockwork' disc, he and the group offered up some more painfully awkward hijinks in a mockumentary. The full 'Portlandia' episode featuring Josh Homme airs on IFC this Thursday (April 17) at 10 PM.
