A second state judge, Stewart Stadler, has ruled Montana’s medical marijuana law does not allow caregivers to transfer marijuana between themselves, stating caregivers may only provide marijuana to “qualified patients”. Attorney for the Montana Medical Grower's Association, Tim Baldwin says this ruling is disappointing for a lot of people.

Volunteer coordinator for Patients For Reform Not Repeal Rose Habib, does not agree with the ruling as well.

Baldwin says they will appeal this decision, within thirty days, to the supreme court.

In the meantime..

Medical marijuana advocates are rallying together to overturn the recently passed Montana Marijuana Act, Senate Bill 423. Patients For Reform Not Repeal have a volunteer army, across the state, of freshly unemployed people that have already started gathering signatures to get the new law on the ballot. Volunteer coordinator, Rose Habib, says in order to suspend the current law, they need to collect between 31,000 to 43,000 signatures in 51 House districts.

Habib Says the volunteers are working really hard and they are well on their way to collect the amount needed to go on the 2012 ballot.
