It seems to me that Hollywood is running out of ideas. Lately I have seen tons on remakes of some of my favorite movies from 20+ years ago. Recently we have seen the release of a "Total Recall" remake. I didn't even bother to watch it. There is even talk of Mark Wahlberg starring in a remake of "Point Break."

Now I noticed that there is a remake of one of my all time favorite movies. I cannot tell whether or not to be excited about it. "Point Break," "Total Recall" and "Red Dawn," are all RAD movies that should be left alone. The directors making these movies have got impossible shoes to fill. Minus the addition of modern technology, the odds of the remakes being as good as the original are slim.

The original "Red Dawn" (1984) featured Patrick Shwayze and Charlie Sheen. This new movies cast only has one actor that I can recognize and that is Chris Hemsworth (Thor).

I just hope that the remake is not a complete disgrace.
