Remembering 9/11 with a Song from Anchored

It is hard to believe it was 11 years ago today that the planes took out the WTC and hit the Pentagon. It feels like yesterday. I still remember heading to class during my first days at the University of Montana and watching it all go down in class. It was a very sad day for America, but we are doing our best to heal. One of my favorite ways to ease the hurt is by song.

Anchored, the guys that brought you “Dirty in Texas”, performed at the Knitting Factory in Spokane last year. During their performance they busted out into a compilation of songs that they titled the “America Medley.” It is their way of showing support for “fallen soldiers, fire fighters and police that made this country so great.”

It is a fun song that takes your mind off of the the reality of a day like today.
