Rick Allen says One Direction Did NOT Rip Off Def Leppard

I didn't even know this was a 'thing' as I've never heard this One Direction song before, but now that I listen, you can hear "Pour Some Sugar On Me" influences in the song "Midnight Memories."

TMZ caught up with legendary Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen on the street (because that's what they do, harass rockers minding their own business), and he says that it was more of a compliment than a blatant rip off. Rick Allen also says that they never considered suing, and if they did, they could in turn be sued as "those three chords have been used for decades."

Here are both songs and the on the street interview with the ever humble Rick Allen. Judge for yourself. Side Notes: sorry to make you listen to One Direction; and I highly doubt One Direction has ever even listened to Def Leppard.
