I'd like to thank KC for posting a Halestorm video a few days back.... If it's possible, I almost forgot how ridiculously good-looking Lzzy Hale is. It also motivated me to think about the hottest women in rock and metal. Luckily, this is an easy subject to research and it is based solely on my opinion. As such, this is how it has to be...

    Marta Peterson of Bleeding Through

I figured I'd start off the list with a gorgeous, cool woman who is definitely metal. Her keyboard skills add a whole different feel to the music. I had the chance to see them live and she is as metal as it goes. I also got to meet her afterwards and she was super cool. That is always a big plus in my book.

    Simone Simons of Epica

If you don't know who Epica is, check them out! They make metal which sounds like it should be the soundtrack from the battle at Helms Deep. Simone has an amazing voice which works very well with the heavy music behind it. She is a great singer and nothing short of gorgeous. She could storm my castle anytime!

    Alissa White-Gluz of The Agonist

Holy cow. As far as just voice talent goes, Alissa would be hard to beat. She sings and screams like a champion. Add in the fact that she is a fox and she is a solid Top Five candidate with rising potential. Also worthy of noting: The Agonist recently played at Monks in support of Wayne Static. Word is that she was great live and had a great stage presence. She gets bonus points for being awesome and playing here in Missoula.

    Lzzy Hale of Halestorm

Here is where I had some conflicting opinions. Lzzy is a great singer and front woman as well as an energetic guitar player. She rocks pretty friggin hard. Halestorm has kind of exploded onto the rock scene and has been touring constantly, now in support of their new EP. If it were skills alone, Lzzy would probably be number one. Even as I write this I am considering flip-flopping my picks at one and two. This is tougher than I thought it would be.

    Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil

Sorry Lzzy, Christina has my heart. She is one of the leading female vocalists of her time. I loved her voice the first time I heard it in 2002 and she is still rocking. I even had a chance to meet her after a show they played at The Wilma and it was awesome. She is one of the best looking women I have ever seen. Add in the angelic voice and here is your hottest woman in rock and metal! And she's Italian....
