This is straight up awesome. The author of this amazing map, Slate editor L.V. and her coworker Josh, did stellar work with this meat map that they call the "United Steaks of America".

In their quest to assign a meat to every state, L.V. and Josh decided on some ground rules. First rule, no two states can have the same meat. We like this already. In addition, the ONLY country who eats more meat than we do, Luxembourg, gets an honorary place on the map.

Montana's meat? Rocky Mountain oysters! You can thank the folks at Testy Festy for that. We also love that Nevada gets the tongue.
