Sevendust had such an enjoyable time revisiting their debut album that they've decided to book more shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of the self-titled disc.

"You wanted it, you got it -- we are going to hit the road for a few dates playing our debut album in its entirety," exclaimed the band making the announcement on social media. There are five new dates scheduled for June, with the band expected to play the album in its entirety at stops in Baltimore, Sayreville, Philadelphia, Long Island and Worcester. See the dates and venues below and look for tickets going on sale this Friday (April 28).

Sevendust released their self-titled debut on April 15, 1997 and started to garner the attention of fans and critics with the album's feral energy. The band recorded the effort with Twisted Sister's Jay Jay French and Mark Mendoza serving as producers. In the months following the release, the group saw the songs "Black," "Bitch" and "Too Close to Hate" make inroads at rock radio, paving the way for their future success. The group also made an impression as a solid live band. The Sevendust album was certified Gold in the U.S.

As stated, Sevendust marked the 20th anniversary of the album back in March, playing a hometown show at Atlanta's Masquerade where they delivered an electrifying set. With Sevendust between albums, the band has a relatively light tour schedule at present. See all of their scheduled dates here.

Meanwhile, John Connolly and Vinnie Hornsby have another project on their hands this year. The Sevendust pair have reunited with Alter Bridge's Scott Phillips and Tremonti's Eric "E-Rock" Friedman in their band Projected. A new album is expected later this year.
