It was a big night for Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Europe Music Awards over the weekend as the legendary rocker was saluted with the Global Icon honor. But the Osbourne love wasn't just confined to dishing out a statue, as there was a musical tribute as well led by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

The veteran rockers ripped through Osbourne's classic 'Crazy Train' with the assistance of Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil, who lent guitars and vocals to the performance as well. All the while Ozzy and his wife, Sharon, watched the fiery rendition from the front row.

It appeared as though Osbourne was visibly moved by the performance as he and wife Sharon gave it a standing ovation, with Osbourne raising his hands high to offer applause to the rockers.

The timing was perfect for Osbourne to receive the honor as he's been promoting his 'Memoirs of a Madman' solo compilation this fall. Osbourne has already stated that he intends to do another album and tour with Black Sabbath, but the career-spanning solo set is meant to keep fans in the mindset that his solo career is still ongoing. It was also recently revealed that a new season of 'The Osbournes' is currently in the making.

Meanwhile, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators have been showing their live chops on tour this summer and fall by promoting their new 'World on Fire' album. Biffy Clyro are currently between albums, with 'Opposites' being released in 2013. Neil has stated that the band will likely start work on their next disc in 2015.
