A week ago, we got a BIG surprise from legendary 90's band, the Smashing Pumpkins. Missoula was chosen as a last minute stop for "The Oceania Tour." The show sold out within 24 hours. Leaving some fans without a chance to see the show. We here at the Blaze rounded up close to 20 pair of tickets to give away. The only question was "How?"

"Light Bulb!" I said. "Lets smash some pumpkins for Smashing Pumpkins tickets." That is just what we did. Our friends at Rosauers hooked us up with 40 pumpkins and use of their parking lot. We spent an afternoon cutting and gutting pumpkins and stuffing tickets inside them. On Friday, we invited you all to the Rosauers parking lot to try your luck at scoring tickets. Close to a hundred of you showed to take a swing at those innocent pumpkins. The result? Total destruction!

When Sunday finally came. The Smashing Pumpkins took the stage at the Wilma Theatre. The sold out crowd represented why bands like the Smashing Pumpkins choose to stop in Missoula over Spokane or Boise.

Bottom line, your passion for all types of music and willingness to buy/win your ticket for all the shows we bring. That is what makes concerts like this happen.

I truly mean it when I say it. "THANK YOU!"
