Stone Temple Pilots enjoyed a solid start with new frontman Chester Bennington last year as their 'Out of Time' single climbed to the top of the charts and their 'High Rise' EP achieved some nice success. But with Bennington also committed to Linkin Park, the new-look Stone Temple Pilots have been limited in their time together.

However, with a little break in Linkin Park's schedule, Bennington recently took some time to reconnect with STP in the studio. According to a pair of new tweets from Stone Temple Pilots' Robert DeLeo, Bennington spent some time writing with the group toward their next release.

As for Linkin Park, Bennington and his bandmates just released 'The Hunting Party' album. They'll be playing at Comic-Con later this month and the band will join Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI for the Carnivores tour in late summer.
