I enjoy baking and will spend hours baking on my days off, but my good friend and coworker hates it. In fact, she doesn’t even keep flour in her house. The only way she will make a pie is to buy a frozen one from the store and reheat it. I on the other hand, will make both my filling and my crust from scratch.

We will often exchange recipes that we find delicious and easy to make. I have made banana bread for her before (from scratch, of course) and she enjoyed it. I know that she would never even attempt to make it for herself. So, when I ran across this super easy banana bread recipe, I was convinced that even she could make it. It doesn’t even call for flour.

This recipe only takes a cake mix and a few other simple ingredients and voila! You have a super simple banana bread that even the most amateur baker can make.

Super Simple 6 Ingredient Banana Bread

1 butter pecan cake mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 1/2 mashed over ripe bananas

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Crack eggs into a large bowl and whisk. Add the mashed bananas and melted butter. Dump the cake mix on top of the wet ingredients. Sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg on top of the cake mix. Stir it all until well combined.

Pour batter into a greased bread pan and bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Bread is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
