Avenged Sevenfold are huge video game fans, so it was a no-brainer for the band when they were approached to do something special for the newly-released 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II' game. Not only did they contribute the song 'Carry On' to the soundtrack, the band -- in their animated form -- turn up at the end to perform the track with 'Black Ops'' two main characters.

Avenged Sevenfold have kept a fairly low profile this year but they did find some time to contribute a new track for the latest edition in the 'Call of Duty' video game series. The fourth edition of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards last night at L.A.'s Club Nokia was highlighted by a number of performances featuring special guests:

Johnny Depp joined Marilyn Manson on guitar for half of their four song set, and Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless sang with Manson on another number.

Dec. 28 marks the second anniversary of the death of Avenged Sevenfold drummer The Rev. The stickman, born James Sullivan, died at the age of 28, due to an accidental overdose of a mixture of prescription drugs.
