You may have heard that one of the members of the 90's rap duo, Kriss Kross, has passed away. Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly passed away yesterday and the Deftones felt they would pay tribute to the fallen artist by playing a rock cover of the Kriss Kross hit "Jump."

The rock world was saddened over the weekend to hear the news that Deftones bassist Chi Cheng had passed away. The musician died after spending four years in either a coma or semi-conscious state as the result of a devastating 2008 car accident. After reactions and condolences from many in the rock community, the first official statement from Deftones themselves came today via a message from the band's guitarist Stephen Carpenter.

Deftones are inching closer to a new album, and have now revealed the artwork for their 'Koi No Yokan' collection (posted to the left). The visually intriguing cover, which they debuted at their website and Facebook pages, appears to be mirrored sections of a dark room, with only a dulled green entryway and glowing orange floor lights reflecting back.
