The Montana Grizzlies take another step toward the big dance with a Big Sky Conference Tournament semi-final game tonight against the Eastern Washington Eagles. KPAX has a preview of the Griz game…and a big honor for Katie Baker of the Lady Griz as well. That report is attached.
The Grizzlies men's basketball team locked up the Big Sky Conference with a victory in front of a rambunctious Adams Center crowd of over 7,000 people. They defeated Weber State 66-51 Tuesday night and will host the Big Sky Tournament

Well, there goes watching the Griz/Cat game for free. After watching the Big Sky Classic on KPAX for the last 20 years or so, seeing Griz games on KPAX for free is now a thing of the past.
It's that special time of January, the Griz Football schedule for next season is out.
We'll have 6 home games (that just doesn't seem like enough...every time we have our last home game of the season I'm always left feeling like we just got started), with 4 Big Sky Conferences foes and 2 nonconference FCS Subdivision squads
Kick off is set to start under the friday night lights. As my contribution to the effort to make it to the national championship, I have put together a "Montage" song using highlights from some of the 2011 season
Don't tase me bro! From Peter Christian in our news department:
Two University of Montana football players, quarterback Gerald Kemp, and cornerback Trumaine Johnson were arrested early Sunday morning at a residence on North Russell after a physical altercation with Missoula police. According to the Missoula county jail roster, Kemp and Johnson were both charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct, and failure to appear, while Kemp was also charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly striking a police officer. Police reports indicate that both players had to be tased in order to be subdued. Missoula Police Sergeant Jake Rosling says alcohol was also a factor in the incident. My interview with Sergeant Rosling is attached.
