Queens of the Stone Age may have gotten the royal shaft at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards and it's something that still stings a little for Josh Homme, as was apparent after the frontman addressed it during a concert in Houston.
Each year, the Grammy Awards end with an all star collaboration and this year, it's almost as if organizers customized the closing performance just for me. It will be refreshing to see some actual rock guys recognized and performing at this Sunday's awards.
After teasing a Motorhead appearance earlier in the day, the complete Coachella 2014 lineup was revealed late Wednesday night (Jan. 8). This year's event features the reunion of hip-heroes OutKast, alterna-rockers Muse and Grammy winners Arcade Fire headlining the three nights, though there is still plenty of rock to go around.
Queens of the Stone Age released 'Era Vulgaris' in 2007, then took several years before releasing last year's highly acclaimed '… Like Clockwork' album. Granted, there was a full touring cycle and a major side project (Them Crooked Vultures) in between, but Josh Homme is intent on there being a quicker turnaround for the band's next disc.
