They were among the bands that ruled the Los Angeles hair-metal scene in the 1980s. And on Aug. 29, they’ll join forces on the legendary Sunset Strip to honor one of their own.

Quiet Riot, Great White, LA Guns, Enuff Z’Nuff and Slammin’ Gladys are the featured acts for the free, all-ages tribute concert in memory of late Warrant singer Jani Lane at the Key Club in West Hollywood.

According to TMZ – Jani Lane, Ex-Warrant lead singer — was found dead earlier Thursday evening. Lane has had a drinking problem in the past and was found guilty of a DUI and sentenced to 120 days in jail in 2010. Lane was 47-years-old.

Jani Lane was found at a Days Inn Hotel in Woodland Hills, California — so far there is no official cause of death.
