Now this is genius. Two 14-year-old boys, and one 13-year-old, have invented a condom that will change color if it comes in contact with an STD, or as they are now known, STIs.

They call the prototype the S.T.EYE condom, and depending on the infection it comes in contact with, it will turn a different color. The revolutionary rubber would be able to detect syphilis, chlamydia, herpes and genital warts.

The condom is still in the concept stage, but a manufacturer has already approached the boys about distribution. The high schoolers also won a cash prize at the TeenTech Awards.

S.T.EYE would be a game changer on so many levels. Imagine being able to test yourself in the privacy of your own home, not to mention all of the agony and lives spared simply by leaving the light on.
