The HDNet television show “Drinking Made Easy” has a Missoula-centric episode airing Wednesday, Feb. 29.

Host Zane Lamprey and “stunt-drinker” Steve McKenna tour Missoula through bars and breweries to take in the libations and establishments that help make The Garden City unique.

The HDNet series features Lamprey and his drinking buddy Steve McKenna as they travel the U.S. in search of the local drinks and drinking customs that have contributed to the birth, growth and distinction of various cities around the country.

In this Missoula-based episode, Zane visits Tami Knoeller at the Iron Horse Brew Pub where he has a Montana Duck Fart shot and a Hop, Skip, and Go Naked cocktail. Zane and McKenna then make their way to Big Sky Brewing Company for a Moose Drool and an Olde Bluehair Barley Wine. Next on the tour is a stop at The Rhino for a Dump Truck and a beer lesson from German Biermeister Jergen Knoller.

After brushing up on their beer history, Zane and McKenna stop in at Red’s Bar, where they learn about the over 40 year tradition of Dead Pecker Row, and put down a red beer. The guys make Bodega their next stop where they are introduced to the Tapeworm Shot, which as some may know is the bar’s customary birthday shot. The Garden City bar tour concludes with the drinking duo checking out the Testicle Festival with the crew at Rock Creek Lodge.

HDNet is available nationally on DIRECTV on channel 306 and on DISH Network on channel 362. The episode is slated to run at 8 p.m. EST, so check local listings to find out when it will be on your HDNet carrier.

Red’s Bar and The Rhino will also be hosting viewing parties during the airing of this episode.
