The 11th annual Darby Dog Derby will be racing the trails at Lost trail Pass this weekend.

There will be multiple sled dog races Saturday and Sunday at the the Gibbons Pass and Trail Creek Roads next to US 93 and Montana 43.

Spectators are asked to park at the Lost trail ski Area parking area and walk the short distance to the start-finish line across US 93.

Saturday, January 13, the races will start with ski-jor competition at 9 a.m. with mid-distance and sprint races.
The 8-, 6-dog races and the 2-dog junior class races will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Pee Wee Race at about 1 p.m. Only ten competitors will be allowed in the pee wee sprint race.

Sunday, January 14, the mid-distance ski-jor race will start at 9 a.m., followed by the sprint ski-jor race.
8-, 6- and 2-dog races will start at 10:30 a.m. with 4-dog starts at about 2 p.m.

The awards ceremony will be near 3 p.m.

Spectators, please DO NOT bring your own dogs to the races. Dress warmly and be careful on the main roadways. No admission charge. Concessions will be available.
